GOVERNMENT-45 COMMANDER (GM1)
It is commander of GM1.
I purchased it at a sale just before regulation of 1977.(For quality before regulation, transfer buying and selling is prohibited by a law.)
Numbers of people rushed for last-minute shopping as it was to be banned on sales at that time, therefore full-sized version of it, which I prefer and wanted to purchase was all sold out.
But I can purchase favorite GM. I have purchased it without being at a loss.

Although it lacked details, it was small in size, and its backlash was outstanding comparing to what is available today, because it was made of metal, sensations of cold when holding, metallic sound when cocking back the slide.....those matters still grow and enlarge my images.
It is the inside of a slide.
Unlike the current ones it had firing plate, which enabled side firing by tapping the side of cart bottom.

And its extractor was produced only of pressing and bending a metal plate.
Both of those parts were pinned in order to avoid them from falling off its slide side.
Short Recoil does not do it.But rocking lycees are reproduced in a slide.
It is a frame.
The structure is simply making down the hummer by rotating sear with trigger bar, and no disconnector.

Sear spring inside, therefore, is 2-prong not 3-prong.
As there are no relevancy on the movement from outside, no mechanical parts are exposed.
I tried to put the slide of GM-2 on them from the similarity with the shape of GM-2, and it is still unsure, but because of warping the slide or largish frame, it couldn't put on them.
Although there are some feelings that filing down the frame some makes putting on the slide possible, it will be only full-auto due to lacking disconnector if the slide can be attached.
But I feel that the other parts could be divertible.
It is a slide & barrel.
It become structure to be completely different from rial gun.
A barrel is structure fixed at a slide stop.
Naturally Short Recoil does not do it.
However, a re-coil spring is arranged in a barrel bottom.
I am different from GM2 in these.
I tried to set a magazine of GM-2 and GM-5 beside GM-1.
A magazine of GM-1 and GM-2 has compatibility.
I did not use it, but was able to use it mutually when I operated it by hand.
Concerning series of GM-5, as the body is the same size as real one, magazine is large and it can't be used.
Once when I was browsing in a toy store looking some model guns, I saw a shop staff, started setting a cartridge into a magazine, quite naturally. Then he manipulated a slide and charged the cartridge and move the slide towards his body again, and finally he showed the action of hold-open catching the flying cartridge.
I felt its so cool and so impressed and that the very first thing I did was to try this action, when I bought this model.
It wasn't so difficult to do this action, but the impression was so strong, and remains still now, I repeat this action from time to time.
